Security and buying on-line

We understand that security is one of the most critical concerns for our customers buying online. The security measures we have in place to protect you when buying on-line from us are second to none; all orders are en-crypted using complicated logarithm combinations. Our order process uses Sage Webtrader, which in turn is a GeoTrust True Site. All credit and debit card transactions are processed using Worldpay.

Security is undoubtedly at the forefront of all of our customers minds when buying online. The Flowersandgo WebTrader pages utilise industry standard 128-bit encryption, and the Internet Trading Solution uses a number of visuals to help reassure customers:

Whilst in the shopping basket, the padlock symbol is displayed at the bottom of the customer's browser at all times. This padlock is the universally recognised symbol of secure status.

In addition to this, the customer can see that the URL address of the shopping basket begins with 'https://', which again indicates the secure status of the server. Standard non secure areas would show 'http://'

A highly visible symbol containing GeoTrust's Authentic Site logo, displayed on the checkout page. Youcan click this logo to verify the site status if you wish to do so. GeoTrust are one of the industry's most respected online security certificate providers.

Worldpay

We use the WorldPay payment system which combines a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data.

Furthermore, Worldpay's public web servers are certified by Thawte, a public Certificate Authority, ensuring that both the shopper and retailer can have confidence that nobody can impersonate WorldPay to obtain confidential information.

Transaction Encryption

The transfer of the purchase details from our site to Worldpay are encapsulated using Worldpay's own encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof.

Security for the Shopper

Any communication between the our customers and WorldPay are also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by your browser using TLS or 128 Bit SSL. You are also protected from fraudulent use of your card in a "card not present" environment, by their card issuers. The card issuers provides the right for shopper to dispute a transaction if the goods/services did not arrive or if the card was used fraudulently.

Data Storage

Data storage on WorldPay systems, and the communication between WorldPay and the worldwide banking networks, is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure transaction environment. Worldpay also ensure that they stay up-to-date with the latest versions of any third-party code used, and continually review their own proprietary code.
